PINTO

In the month of February, when we started the project, the blog was launched to tell about our Cambodian adventure. At the beginning it only had texts in English and Spanish and photographs, but we hadn’t thought about sign language. Afterwards, we thought that the best would be to have the texts interpreted in Spanish Sign Language and International Sign Language. I thought it would be weird that the same person signed both videos, the ideal would be to find someone else who could sign International Sign Language; then, I thought in Pinto.

He and I had been in touch since I came to Cambodia, so I asked him if he would like to collaborate with us as a volunteer. He was glad to do so. Besides, he works for the Deaf Confederation and, among others, one of his tasks is to be an interpreter from Spanish to International Sign Language in the conferences, congresses and events that are held.

The three of us are as delighted as grateful. We have been working overcoming the handicaps that different time and work involve. He has done a perfect job, being able to translate every video until today!

Thanks so much, Pinto, see you in Madrid!
